Experimental Build
Tell me what you think of this build before i spend a bunch of money making it. The basic premis is much like the blood magic ranger, but with an elementalist.
Energy Storage 15 (head and sup rune)
Fire Magic 10 (min rune)
Blood Magic 11
Glyph of Lesser Energy (Null)
Burning Speed (Fire Magic)
Inferno (Fire Magic)
Pheonix (Fire Magic)
Vampiric Touch (Blood Magic)
Vampiric Bite (Blood Magic)
Life Transfer Elite (Blood Magic)
Res Sig (Null)
The Basic strategy would be to use Burning Speed to Run up to your foe unsuspecting and then use a combination of melee AOE spells and Blood Magic to deal damage while healing yourself. Use GoLE when needed. I think it would work well for taking out warriors as long as they are not hammers, and will most likely work for most other classes as well.

You have to remember the reason touch rangers work (in RA) is that they can basically fill all necessary roles to some extent and are therefore very self-sufficient. They have decent armor, speed buffs, evasion stances, self-healing, armor ignoring damage, and energy management.
Your proposed ele has a few of these things, but is missing out on many of the important ones. Even if you did want to try making this character, I would recommend turning and running away from Life Transfer as fast as you can.

Have you ever used a necromancer and heard of health sacrifices? Just taking 70 damage isnt much. And when it ends, all adjacent foes take 126 armor ignoring degeneration damage, assuming you have a high enough fire magic and the condition isnt removed.

Drop Life Transfer, use Life Siphon.
Drop Inferno or Phoenix, and get plague touch.
Burning Speed next to someone, plague touch. Run to monk, say hi and monk burns. Cast Pheonix/Inferno, monk gets hit again. Touch and bite that monk to death.
